The Centre for Planetary Sciences at the University of Toronto Scarborough will offer up to four Summer Research Scholarships for undergraduate students to take part in cutting edge research. Potential research areas include:
- Formation and evolution of the solar system and extrasolar planets
- Modelling of planets' interior structure, oceans, and climate
- Numerical simulations of planetary systems, satellites, and astrophysical disks
- Environmental chemistry and chemical evolution of planets and protoplanetary disks
All students currently enrolled in an undergraduate program at the University of Toronto are eligible to apply.
The value of each CPS undergraduate scholarship is $6000 (including a contribution from the faculty supervisor).
The research will take place during the summer months of 2018 at the University of Toronto.
Students do not need to have a faculty advisor when they apply.
However, students are encouraged to talk to potential supervisors before submitting their application about possible projects.
To find out which faculty members are associated with the CPS, see this list.
